But the biggest problem is the economic side. Liquid hydrogen is an expensive fuel. It has no chance to compete with kerosene if the price of kerosene does not reflect its true cost to society. Can we assume that politicians will do what is necessary to protect the environment effectively and establish a ‘level playing field’ for clean fuels vs. those spoiling the atmosphere? This may only happen under the pressure of climate changes becoming more and more obvious. It may happen late, but we had better prepare ourselves.
